The mobile solution team at Advantech is seeking an experienced Product Manager for vehicle-mounted terminal team. This individual will work closely with the existing engineering teams in Taiwan and Germany. As a creative problem solver, the Product Manager will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, gather requirements, and demonstrate experience in guiding teams across the expanding vehicle-mounted terminal devices. By developing innovative features with cross-functional, multi-regional hardware and software teams, they create customer value. Key Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in product management, sales, and PSM teams
to define strategy and requirements.
- Initiate project RFI/RFP/RFQ proposals and lead cross-functional development on
new technology, from design to delivery.
- Manage products and projects, including NPI development, MP manufacturing,
project budget control, and cost/expense management.
- Regularly update senior management on status, risks, and changes.
- Lead the project team to meet customer expectations, manage development,
including technical integration, schedule, and quality control.
- Regularly communicate with hardware and software teams about schedules and
releases, managing risks and obstacles.
- Conduct project meetings, draw conclusions, provide minutes, and track team
actions.
- Drive efficient planning and execution, tracking program or project status using
tools on a daily basis.
- Host regular meetings with global sales teams and promote global key account
projects.
- Lead team retrospectives to maximize learning. Incorporate improvements into
development processes and apply them to future programs.
Must to Have
- 5+ years of experience in product management in the IT or IPC product industry.
- Experience in ODM/OEM project management.
- Ability to define product specifications and interact directly with customers and
internal sales.
- Experience in managing programs across cross-functional teams, establishing
processes, and coordinating release schedules.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
Better to Have
- Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and follow through on
projects
- Proficient in one or more reporting tools, including JIRA, MS Project, SharePoint,
Wiki, and Confluence
- 2+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
- Experience in managing programs across cross-functional teams and different
time zones
- 3+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
