We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager (BDM) in the InterCon department. The BDM will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and expansion of our emerging business initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a strong passion for innovation, and a demonstrated track record of embracing challenges. This position requires a minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 2 years in the tech industry.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Assist the incubation process for innovative ideas, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to bring these concepts to fruition as successful business ventures.
Engage extensively with RBU to identify potential innovation ideas and gather essential insights from the market.
- Work collaboratively to refine and enhance innovative concepts, ensuring alignment with business goals, market needs, and technological feasibility.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, customer pain points, and potential opportunities for disruptive innovation.
- Develop comprehensive business plans, including market analysis, financial projections, risk assessment, and go-to-market strategies for incubated ideas.
- Drive the project management process, including setting milestones, tracking progress, and ensuring timely execution of the innovation incubation journey.
- Act as a bridge between creative ideation and practical implementation, providing guidance on the transformation of innovative ideas into tangible products or services.
- Assist Managers in crafting internal communication materials, including announcements, newsletters, presentations, and reports.
What you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Innovation Management, Social Science or related field.
- 5+ years of work experience in PM, PMO, Product Marketing, and relevant jobs with a minimum of 2 years within the tech industry.
- Proficiency in English-speaking and writing skills.
- Strong grasp of Advantech's product portfolio, services, and corporate ethos (or willing to learn).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in market research, data analysis, and project management (or willing to learn).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex tasks.
- Team-working mindset but able to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to take ownership of incubation projects, seeing them through to successful realization.
