Introduction： At KPMG Taiwan’s foreign investment team of Tax and Investment Department, you will help high-profile foreign multinational companies understand and address investment opportunities in Taiwan – being at the frontlines of Taiwan’s business prosperity. You will get a chance to work with KPMG’s worldwide network of specialists at one of world’s leading consultancy firms in large-scale multi-disciplinary projects such as global M&A and restructuring. Develop extensive industry knowledge through a range of multifaceted client engagements and internal trainings. Main Responsibilities： Inbound Investment 1. Serve as foreign multinational companies’ first-stop contact for Taiwan investment matters and provide investment-related advisory, coordinate with KPMG member firms and KPMG tax teams to provide comprehensive advisory and services. 2. Participate in large-scale inbound and outbound investment projects (such as M&A and global restructuring) by providing solutions for Taiwan entity related investment issues and coordinating across multiple KPMG member firms across the globe. 3. Facilitate and manage foreign multinational companies’ Taiwan entities, in the establishment of Taiwan subsidiaries and/or branches, transfer of Taiwan companies’ shares and/or maintain investment registration affairs. 4. Assist foreign multinational companies in obtaining Foreign Investment Approval to set foot into Taiwan according to Statute for Investment by Foreign Nationals. Global Mobility 1. Facilitate the movement of human capital by assisting foreign multinational companies in their international mobility programs by providing Taiwan immigration solutions for foreign expatriates such as Taiwan Employment Gold Card, various types of work permits, Taiwan visa issues and ARC. 2. Coordinate with foreign multinational companies, multiple KPMG member firms to provide Global Mobility and related advisory services. 3. Coordinate with KPMG tax team to provide tax related services (such as income tax and payroll) to ensure smooth transitions for multinational companies’ global transfer program.
